Supt. of Police again on the 30th. of the Chinese moon. I told

the Captain Supt. of Police about the method of gamoling,&

that the beads represented 1 collar each. I did not tell him

of the conversation that I hau with Inspector Stanton in

his office. I told him of it on the 4th. of the 6th. moon. The

Captain Supt. of Police wrote down what I told hiI signed

my name to what was written. I signed on the same day that

it was written. The Chinese writing on the paper produced is

my writing & my name,

By Inspector Stanton:-I know you over 10

years. Before this case came up you have never spoken a sin-

gle word to me. Plenty of people know you that you do not

know. Your wife's eldest sister was formerly employed by my

father and afterwards my father took her as his concubine,

Your wife's eldest sister was a Tung Koon woman. The woman

said she was the eldest sister of your wife. I do not know

whether she was or not. When she left your wife she went to

be servant to my father, I do not know what country woman

your wife is. I do not know whether my father's concubine

was wet nurse to your wife. I do not know whether you know

me or not.I know Sam Cha. He is my master. San Cha and Lam Chi

are the principal masters of the gambling house.

I have seen Sam Cha in No. 5 East Street. He was
